A growing neighborhood town center that welcomes everyone.
Whether you visit, work or live here, Legacy Square is blossoming into a shining centerpiece filled with a thoughtful collection of local shops and services for all. Located at the heart of Verdae’s high-growth area, this multi-phase town center surrounds the northeast end of Legacy Park and will ultimately include 13 acres of quality commercial that provides accessibility and convenience to area residents and more.
In the heart of Hollingworth Park is a 20-acre park that features rolling greens, water features, colorful landscaping, children’s playgrounds and paved pathways ideal for walking, jogging and biking.
Officially opened in 2008, Legacy Park was inspired by New York City’s Central Park, and captures the essence of a pastoral park in the midst of a busy city. The land used to develop the public park was originally owned by John D. Hollingsworth, a leader in the Greenville business community and textile industry.

Greenville is home to a growing economy, a rich history, vibrant and diverse cultural opportunities, and an endless supply of scenic natural beauty.Situated roughly halfway between the cities of Atlanta, Ga., and Charlotte, N.C., along the Interstate 85 corridor, and only an hours drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Greenville is a convergence point for commerce, outdoor recreation, cultural arts, and old-fashioned Southern hospitality.
While the city enjoys a traditional charm, it has hardly rested on history alone. In the past 25 years, downtown Greenville has experienced a Renaissance of new development and redevelopment that has gathered national attention and a well-earned reputation as one the most rapidly growing areas in the United States and the single fastest in South Carolina.
